I am in the midst of a move. Moving has got to be the biggest pain in the booty. Fortunately, so far it's going pretty smoothly. I am gradually moving things from Casey's apt and my former apt into our new apt. While Casey thinks I am crazy for moving things in waves, I am stoked that as each box or reusable bag goes in everything gets organized and placed. The idea being once our bigger furniture makes it in, we will easily be settle into our new space. I think this amazing bean bag chair hairy extravaganza would look amazing next to a gray couch and a Kelly green ottoman. Alas, pardon my absence while I play Sally home maker. Stay tuned to this blog for some more EileenEO giveaways... (hint:TGIF)

This has got to be the most ridiculous and the most amazing ring. Go ahead tenderize you meats with this bad boy! Then listen to this amazing song!
more info here- also please check out the ring that you can pin your reciepts and other small pieces of paper. I love those things and my 6th grade math teacher, Mrs. Stern, had one and I was obsessed!

One of my friends has this ring. I have yet to ask him if he likes it and likes the way it works, but I think it looks pretty cool. He's a bartender too, so I am sure it comes in handy in a pinch. On a side note, doesn't it seem like everything that can have a bottle opener feature does? Some of my sailing knives double as them, and my key for my bike lock has one. On any given day I am schlepping at least 3 of these! What does that say about me?
I haven't been to the city since my friend got married in February. I need a fix. Badly, unfortunately I am probably not going to get back before November so in the mean time, a girl can dream. I am loving this NYC subway map cuff. It's great and especially for someone like me who's been out of the loop for a while.
There are few things in life that really perk me up- jewelry is definitely one of them. I love the crazy stuff in magazines that only Gaga or Fergie can pull off, and classic aesthetic of something by Elsa Perretti.
However, nothing rocks my world harder then something that's a twofer. That's right something that can have more then one purpose really makes me happy. Really it can be anything, but I happen to love jewelry that can do this. I guess my love affair dates back to one of my all time favorite movies, The Client. Susan Sarandon shows a very cute (mind you I was 10 when this movie came out) Brad Renfro her compass necklace. A symbol of her sobriety "to keep her going in the right direction." I also love compasses because I am a woman of the sea- so it's all the better.
This week (and maybe next week too) I will be posting about functional jewelry. Stay tuned for the ridiculous, the must have, and the gorgeous pieces that I will be showcasing here!
Also available in a key chain, cuff links, bracelet, ring, and earrings go check them out!

I am loving all of this tribal wear that is gracing our stores this year. Today's fantasty and a potential reality for all you big spenda's is from nOIR jewelry. This Kickapoo necklace had me with it's multi-strand multicolored wonderment. In LOVE! Only $195.00 smackers!

The area around my armpits looks like this poor individuals back. It's balls hot here in the Chi and while I want to be outside enjoying every hot moment I can, my skin is scorned with this crap. So while I want to crawl out of my skin, and onto a giant float in the middle of a pool. Alas I am stuck with the AC rollin' on full blast trying not to pry my flesh off. So much for writing about killa jewels today... but have you been over to my Etsy page lately? Not too shabby if I do say so myself.

I've decided that in the spirit of my fellow bloggers, I am going to start a Friday Fantasy- it sounds so racy and ridiculous! This week's feature is of course by Tiffany. It's the kinda ring that can be worn with nothing else, and is so in-your-face gaudy you can't get enough. As sapphire is my birthday stone, I have a special attraction to it. For now it's on the list of things I will never be able to afford.
